AI assists — it never replaces

Artificial Intelligence exists to assist the marketplace. It supports, and never replaces, the constitutional principles in this Constitution. Technology remains a tool in service of customers, artists, studios, Industry Partners and the tattoo profession.

Human judgment is preserved

Artificial Intelligence may assist constitutional enforcement, but significant actions affecting participant rights — including suspension, badge removal or permanent marketplace bans — remain subject to review under InkHub's constitutional procedures. AI assists judgment; it does not replace judgment.

Detection is not a finding

Detection does not establish a constitutional violation. A signal is an observation for a person to consider — nothing more.

Prevention before enforcement

Wherever reasonably practicable, InkHub uses intelligence to prevent constitutional issues before they occur: identifying potential conflicts before publication, recommending corrections, explaining requirements and helping participants resolve issues voluntarily.

Privacy and responsible use

AI technologies operate consistently with InkHub's privacy, security and constitutional principles. Information collected is used to improve marketplace safety, functionality and participant experience.

Assistance, always optional

InkHub may provide specialised AI Assistants for customers, artists, studios, Industry Partners, conventions and administration. Each exists to educate, organise, improve productivity and strengthen constitutional compliance — a professional assistant, never a substitute for participant judgment or constitutional governance.

Technology exists to empower people

Artificial Intelligence exists to empower people — not replace them. Technology strengthens education, professionalism, safety, efficiency and trust while preserving meaningful human judgment in constitutional matters.

Marketplace intelligence & protection

InkHub may use intelligence to protect the marketplace and the people in it. This section explains the boundary that applies to any such use today, and to any intelligent system InkHub may consider in future.

Protection, not punishment

Marketplace protection exists to keep participants safe: to reduce fraud, circumvention and abuse, and to help people resolve issues early. Protection never becomes punishment on its own.

Detection is not proof of a violation

Detection is not proof of a violation. An observation is only ever material for a person to consider under InkHub's constitutional procedures.

No automatic enforcement

There is no automatic enforcement. No intelligence on InkHub may suspend, restrict, penalise, downgrade or ban anyone. Every consequential step is taken by an authorised person under Articles 22 and 23.

Search and ranking stay neutral

No AI, partner, studio, sponsorship or undisclosed commercial influence alters organic artist search or ranking. Intelligent, personalised or recommendation-based ranking is deferred and is not in use.

Marketplace health is aggregate only

Where InkHub looks at marketplace health, it does so in aggregate and without identifying individuals. Marketplace health information is never a source of enforcement, Trust or certification outcomes.

Future systems require approval first

Any future intelligent system must be registered, publicly disclosed, human-supervised, constitutionally reviewed and separately approved before it may be activated. Dormant capability is not permission to activate it.

The InkHub Companion stays voluntary

Using the Companion is voluntary — it only runs when a participant opens it.
It never runs invisibly in the background against a participant.
It never writes an enforcement, dispute or appeal decision.
It never alters artist search or ranking.
It never modifies the constitutional record.
It never silently activates another AI system.
